In 2021, they developed the G7 digital health commitmment on the International Patient Summary, leading the negotiations with the member states and the EU, producing implementation recommendations and reports.
They continue to influence the international development of this work.
Patient focussed online services were the starting point for true patient access to their health information and active involvement in how they received and contributed to their own healthcare.
Starting with giving patients the facility to book appointments online and order their repeat prescriptions, this was followed with access to their GP records.
This work encourgaed the NHS to invest in many digital intiatives such as the NHS App, Shared Care Records.
Making and impact, engaging users. It is not just about what you have to say, it is how you say it and how you engage with passers by.
We successfully developed the GP online services brand and this was and remains consitent in promoting patient facing digital services. However, making the most of opportunities and linking to current events can be very powerful, see the standing out from the crowd section and the NHS70 stand.
